Membership
An OAESV membership offers tangible benefits such as technical assistance, training, education materials, current news updates as well as opportunities and resources for effecting public policy changes to support survivors and prevent sexual violence. Additionally, OAESV offers the critical component of building bridges of collaboration between those who work directly with survivors and allies alike in order to strengthen the collective voices of those working together to influence the movement toward ending sexual violence in Ohio. Our Staff
OAESV has wide-ranging expertise in prevention of sexual violence and providing trauma-informed response with survivors. OAESV staff travel extensively throughout Ohio to meet the needs of rape crisis programs and allied organizations in Ohio.
Katie Hanna
Executive Director
Katie joined OAESV in October 2011. She manages the day to day operations and provides technical assistance, training, coalition building and support to sexual assault service providers across Ohio. She co-chairs the Sexual Assault Advisory Board of Ohio. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Ohio University, is a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and holds a BFA in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has an Executive Coaching certificate from the Weatherhead School of Management at CWRU and a certificate from the Women Staff Leadership Development Initiative. Prior to joining OAESV she was the Women’s Health Advocate for five years at the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women at CWRU. She is the 2011 recipient of the American College Health Association’s New Professional Award through the Ohio College Health Association and contributed as a Task Force member to A Safer Campus, a guidebook on prevention and response to sexual and intimate partner violence and stalking for Ohio campuses.
Jasmine Finnie
Statewide Prevention Coordinator
Jasmine is the Statewide Prevention Coordinator for the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence. Through her work, she is the statewide resource on primary prevention of sexual violence and supports all Ohio Department of Health funded Rape Prevention Education Programs with technical assistance and trainings. She is a trained facilitator in media literacy through the New Mexico Media Literacy Project, as well as the Technology of Participation (ToP)® Group Facilitation Methods through the ToP Trainer Network. In addition to her expertise on prevention, she is a long-time advocate for sexual violence survivors volunteering with her local rape crisis program.
Becky Perkins
Statewide Outreach Manager
Becky is the Statewide Outreach Manager for the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence. Her role is to provide support, training and technical assistance to rape crisis centers throughout Ohio regarding response and advocacy services for survivors, with emphasis on supporting effective responses to underserved populations. Becky is a passionate advocate for sexual assault survivors, serving over 600 survivors in the past nine years. Starting in victim services as a volunteer, she worked for a local rape crisis center for seven years, four of them as Program Director. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Health Promotion, certification in the Management of Volunteer Programs, and is an accomplished grant writer and trainer.
Ginnette Simko
Resource Specialist
Ginnette has twelve years experience in office administration and program development and implementation. She worked for several years as a crisis counselor, legal advocate and rape prevention educator at Siskiyou Domestic Violence and Crisis Center in northern California. She has six years experience at the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women at CWRU providing program development and implementation and spearheaded the Project on Men and Gender (programming focused on men’s work to prevent gender-based violence). Ginnette founded the Cleveland area Men’s Violence Prevention Task Force, a four-year collaboration between various community offices and agencies to share information and provide resources and education.

The members of the Board of Directors for the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence are a dedicated group of volunteers who have the responsibility of directing the organization’s financial development, public policy, and fiscal oversight, which helps to ensure the continued success of OAESV.
